Swallow Barn is happy to accept well behaved dogs. We have a history of taking on rescue dogs from a variety of backgrounds, they are often a challenge but none the less an important part of our lives.  Even the cat is a rescue who was dumped on our driveway. But that's another story....

The barn is adapted with dogs in mind, and we provide the following:-

  • Tiled floors except for the bedroom (where dogs are not allowed)

  • Enclosed garden to the barn

  • Shared access to our 2 acre field and meadow overlooking the property (perfect for ball games)

  • Easy access to plenty of country walks (due to nesting birds dogs must be on a lead)

  • Dog treats on arrival as part of our welcome (see What's Included for further information)

  • Temporary collar tags in case your dog gets lost

  • Towels for drying muddy paws

  • Dog bags (nearest dog bin is a short step from the barn)

  • Throws for dogs that like a snuggle on the sofa with their owners

  • Evening pet sitting (dependant on your dog being able to socialise with our 2 dogs and cat) £10 per session

What you will need to bring:-

  • dog beds, bedding and food bowls

  • dog food

  • leads and toys etc

Please contact us before booking if you want to bring one or more dogs.  Please note we cannot accept any dog that is not fully house-trained. Dogs cannot be left unattended or, unsupervised in the property and guests are responsible for their dogs at all times. Please ensure that your dogs are up to date with all vaccinations and have been treated for fleas and worms prior to your stay.

NB:  We do not charge for up to 2 dogs, an additional £10 per week or part-week of stay to cover any additional cleaning requirements per additional dog - please note multiple dog families is dependant on size and breed, please talk to us before making your booking.
